The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Fighters Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative including celestial beings, fiends, and malevolent powers increasing in power within the city.

Note: Revealing details for Episode 3 of the new season follow below.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and revealed the initial group of heroes who will branch out from the main group to begin their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.

This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.

This explains, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Planners, and Questers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

According to the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might look out of place, but the developments of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the party knows exactly where to head next after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing started the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking the character, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.

The traitor then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each member has a individual motive to depart the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and trusted friend, desires revenge.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the region and advises that it is a dangerous place.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • But, their reputation as important members in House Halovar could assist the party enter places they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now accompany him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are sought by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are known criminals.
  • The warrior and Wicander betrayed the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the clan.

This means them little choice but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

Based on the latest episode’s Cooldown, we discover that the combat party will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the players to form the Questers and Strategists tables.

Viewers can anticipate finding out which adventurers will be in which group in the season’s final introductory chapter, released on the upcoming Thursday.
